Praise the Lord!
We have reached another quarter for our newsletter and as always I am happy to be able to speak with you again. 2013 has been a trying year for all of us. Many obstacles to overcome, but the grace of God has brought us through once again. I look at the years 2000 to 2013 as seed time. Meaning, I have spent these last thirteen years inputting seed which is the Word of God in the minds of our people. And in 2014, God has decreed that it is the year of the harvest.
I believe that we are entering into the next seven years of plenty. Whatever you wanted to accomplish or achieve in life, now is the time. I believe that the windows of heaven are going to open like never before and blessings will rain upon us like a continual pour. But even in these years of plenty, we still have a rough road to go. We cannot be so consumed with the blessing that is being stowed upon us that we take our minds off the enemy who is easily trying to beset us.
Be a blessing unto the kingdom of God. Malachi 3:10 says “Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of host, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it”. If we bring the blessings that God gives to us into the house of God, then we will have more than enough to accomplish what God expects of us. I am excited about the accelerating pace that God has us on. But remember my children, we must stay focus and not develop an egotistical mentality and think that we did it when all along it was God.
Fill your baskets and bring it all into the house. Harvest time is not only for the local church but it is for your immediate household. Some of you have labored hard and long, God is about to make you the head and not the tail, above and not beneath, the lender and not the borrower. Some of you will become millionaires in these next seven years. But whatever blessing God bestows upon you, don’t get side tracked. The Bible says “when I would do good evil is always present with me”. ( Romans 7:21) We are a peculiar people, a royal priesthood. We have been set apart for kingdom building. Let’s finish the job that our fathers started. Let us not give up, but press toward the mark of the high calling. As Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. has said “We shall overcome”. God bless the kingdom of God and God bless America.

STOP THE RIDE, I WANT TO GET OFF!
Because going down fast makes me scream and going up gives me anxiety; my heart is racing, anticipating the great fall ahead. Making sharp turns jerking my neck and body, twisting, shaking, flipping upside down, I feel like a milkshake; all shook up and confused.
Sounds like life to me!
The roller coaster of life has its ups and downs; twists and turns; unexpected falls; shaking me, almost breaking me. Who will survive this ride of life? It’s ripping through time fast and furious, dipping into this and diving into that, twisting the truth and turning my life in a downhill spiral direction. Is there more than one ride in this world; or am I getting on because the ride is free. How did I end up on this roller- coaster, who’s controlling the speed, who
decides when it will stop?
Stop the ride, I want to get off!
I think I want to get on the merry go round, even if I have to ride alone.
The book of Colossians is a book of instruction and demands attention if we are to live lives that are pleasing and acceptable to God.
COLOSSIANS
3:15 And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body;
And be ye thankful.
3:16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one
another . . .
3:17 And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks
to God and the Father by him.
.
3:18 Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as it is fit in the Lord.
3:19 Husbands, love your wives, and be not bitter against them.
3:20 Children, obey your parents in all things; for this is well pleasing unto the Lord.
What does this mean to us? This is the Merry Go Round of life. This is the way of peace, blessings, favor and honor, the way to merrily go through life is through Jesus Christ. Jesus said take my yoke upon you for my yoke is easy and my burdens are light. When you ride the merry go round, there may be some ups and downs, but they are brief and short moving at a slow, steady pace. This gives me time, as I ride through life, to laugh a little and enjoy life a little more along the way. Someone said “stop and smell the roses”, well the merry go round moves slow in comparison to a roller coaster, and you can smell the roses.
Col. 3:15, Let the peace that Christ gives control your thinking, because you were all called
together in one body to have peace/always, be thankful .
Take A Seat and Ride
3:16 - Let the teaching of Christ live in you richly. Use all wisdom to teach and instruct each
other...
3:17 - Everything you do or say should be done to obey Jesus your Lord and in all you do give
thanks to God the Father.
3:18 - Wives yield to the authority of your husbands, because this is the right thing to do in the
Lord.
3:19 - Husbands, love your wives and be gentle with them.
3:20 - Children, obey your parents in all things because this please the Lord.
Completing the circle of life's cycle in the Word of God.

" How To Handle Trouble"
God allows us to go through certain situations and circumstances. He allows us to experience wilderness situations. Having first hand experience so that you can be a significant help to someone else.
Paul has his own troubles. He had problems, trials and tribulations, setbacks and even sidetracked. Because you set your feet in the church does not mean that you would be exempt from your world being shaken. Satan come to kill, steal and destroy, seeking whom he may devour. He will shake your world and you ask God why you, and God says why not you. The Bible says let no one be moved by their afflictions or tribulations.
Stand fast in the Lord so that you can handle trouble and don't let trouble handle you. I want you to realize that your setback is a setup for your comeback. We fall down but we get up. All things work together for the good of them that Love the Lord. your trouble can be a blessing instead of a curse.
Expect trouble. The way of the cross brings trouble. I just want to remind you that trouble will come. We are sheep in the mist of wolves. Satan can't handle you when you are up. He wants to see you fall. Don't just expect trouble, refuse Satan through the door of trouble. Don't let the devil use you to change you. Learn to rebuke him. But face trouble with prayer.
It's praying time.. If we ever need the Lord, we need Him now. The only way trouble can get you down, is down on your knees with prayer. Learn to take your troubles to God. He will give us peace that will surpass all understandings. Trouble is inevitable and you can't handle it by yourself. Prayer is the key and faith unlocks the door. Call upon the Lord in the day of trouble and He will answer you. Ask and it shall be given, seek and He shall find, knock and the door shall open.
God says (2 Chronicles 7:14) If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
(James 5:16) .... The effective fervent prayer of the righteous man availeth much. We must learn how to wait on the Lord and He will come on time. So let's look unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith. Trust in the Lord!

"Go Back Up and Get your Assignment"
Exodus 32 - 33:20-23, 4:1-4
Moses went up Mt. Sinai and received the first Ten Comandments. While coming down the mountain he heard the children of Israel down in the camp making noise and saw that they had built a golden calf, a god. Moses got angry and took those commandments and threw them and they broke into pieces. Moses threw his assignment down on the ground.
As Moses prepare himself to go back up the mountain to get his assignment, Moses not only wanted to see a burning bush but he wanted to see God. He wanted to take back to Israel what God had said unto him. Moses heard from God and got a glimpse of God’s glory. When you recognize that you have the anointing, you ought to get yourself together and be ready to get your assignment. Be ready to do what God told you to do the first time. Sometimes you will be successful in your assignment, but don’t let that go through your head. If you are not careful somebody is going to get under your skin and cause you to let your assignment go. Don’ let no one cause you to abort your assignment.

"Stretch Out On God"
Luke 6:6-11
You never know whose sitting in the House of God and whose coming into the House of God, nor do you know what they are going through. There are some that are sitting in the House of God that are a dressed up mess. Often times we shun them and don’t want to be around them and kick them to the curve all because they are not exactly like us. Truth of the matter is there is something wrong with all of us. We all have come up a little short. If we didn't, we wouldn't come to the House of God Sunday after Sunday just to get it right. We all need to enter into the House of God to give God some glory. Bless God because he saved you not because of what you have.
Some people come to church with ulterior motives. Everybody needs to come to church to worship God. Praise God even in your circumstance. When you are sick in your body, praise and stretch out on God because he can heal you. Come with a sincere heart and stop being concerned with what others think about you, but your concern should be in pleasing God. Stretch out on God.

Manifest Glory
John 1:5, 10-14, 16
Jesus has called us into Himself and the Bible says if you believe and receive you become sons of God. The earth is moaning and groaning waiting for the manifestation of the sons of God. It's time to manifest. There are times when prayer seems to be delayed. It is because the Lord has greater glory coming forth in your situation. We have to wait on the Lord. He has a set time to bring us out. Sometime we go through as pastors and come among our own and it seems like we are received better from others then the ones God sent to us. You have to understand, you can not measure your leaders by their flesh, but wait to see the package that they process. Each of us have been chosen to be spiritual beings, but we have a body, a suit that we carry the spirit around in and if your're not careful, you will miss your miracle.
We manifest His glory by making His glory seeable. God manifested His glory. People are to be able to look at us and see the glory demonstrated through us. It's time for us to manifest the glory of God. It's time for us to let loose the kingdom power in us.

"Keep The Vision Alive"
Habakkuk 2:1-4, Proverbs 29:18
God does not give a vision without filling its truth. When God gives a vision He has a purpose for it. The question is, can we keep the vision alive? If we can’t keep the vision alive, we have failed God. Where there is no vision, the people perish, but happy is he who keep the law. When the people fail to respond to the vision they remain stagnant. When God gives you a vision, write it down because when you write it down, it’s not easily forgotten. It’s one thing to respond to the vision, but you must keep the vision alive. For with time, we come to realize that the vision has been fulfilled. The vision is for an appointed time, but at the end it will speak and will not lie. Though we tarry, wait for it, for it will surely come. For in time you’ll understand that God like to keep records. So we as children can not do otherwise. Write the vision down.
Habakkuk got a revelation and God told him to write it down. Ezekiel had a vision that God gave to him concerning dry bones in the valley. He allowed Ezekiel to know that the dry bones shall live because with God all things are possible. God knew that there will be dry bones in Baltimore City and there are still dry bones. But the issue is, these bones that God showed to Ezekiel, God said prophesize to those bones. Baltimore City, will those dry bones live again? Yes! God has made it possible for the dry bones to live, but we have to keep the vision alive. I believe that the dry bones in Baltimore City shall live.

Congratulation on your 26th
Pastoral Anniversary!
God has put you here to lead and guide His people in the way that He would have us to live from day to day. No matter the hour; whatever the need, you go the extra mile always ready and willing to share a comforting thought and a smile. It’s a blessing to be at Power House to hear the man of God teach us the word of God, so that we can apply it to our life and serve God in the beauty of holiness. May God continue to pour His oil upon your head to the soul of your feet like the precious ointment that ran down upon the beard, even Aaron's beard: that went down to the skirts of his garments. God bless you!
